  • Terminate fixed deposit before maturity date

Close business fixed deposit account

Visit a bank branch to terminate an active fixed deposit before its maturity date.

You can close a fixed deposit account that does not have an active fixed deposit.

  1. Go to Account Closure Form and create a new application.

  2. Select Login with DBS IDEAL to automatically fill in your organisation’s details. Or enter the information manually.

  3. Select Close specific account(s) & all related service(s) to the specified account(s)

  4. Select No balances left in the account to proceed. You can only close a fixed deposit account if there is no active fixed deposit.

  5. Select the account to close.

  6. Select Authorise Submission

  7. Select the signatories to approve the application.

  8. You can have them sign either digitally (using DigiSign or DBS IDEAL) or in wet ink. A wet ink signature refers to a signature physically written on paper. If you need to provide additional supporting documents (such as when adding a transaction approver), wet ink signatures are required.

To submit an application with wet ink signatures
Select Print and send. Download this application as a PDF file, and print it for signing. If you’re adding a new transaction approver, you may be asked to provide supporting documents. Mail these to us at the address in the document.

The application will be processed in about 7 working days after we receive it. Once the account is closed, you will receive a notification by email.
