What is Transaction Signing?
The iB Secure Device keeps your transactions safe by enhancing security for specific services. You will be required to perform one of the following procedures when performing Transaction Signing.
iBanking Secure PIN (Login)
To access services such as Transaction History, Bill Payment or Funds Transfer, you will need an iBanking One-Time Password (OTP).
* For transactions such as Add New Recipient or Funds Transfer above S$15,000 to existing recipients or S$1,000 for One-Time transfers
Sign 1
For some transactions such as Add New Recipient or Funds Transfer above S$15,000 to existing recipients or S$1,000 for One-Time transfers, additional transaction signing is required. Follow the steps below to authenticate with your DBS Secure Device in order to proceed with your transaction:
- For update of mobile number:
Enter the red text as displayed on your Internet Banking screen. Simply:
- Press and hold the Sign 1 (white) button on your token until you see a dash on the token screen
- Enter the red digits as shown on your IB screen
- Press the Sign 1 button again to generate an IB secure PIN
- Key in this generated number into IB
- For all other transactions:
Enter the 6-digit code sent to your registered mobile phone
Rest assured that both signing types are equally secure and do not compromise your account in any way.
