DBS Bank Ltd. (“we”, “our” or “us”) may now accept certain instructions in relation to multi-currency revolving term loans and fixed deposits, from you and/or persons whom you authorise via your and/or their registered email address(es).
For your convenience, the acceptance of emails supplements the other channels available for you to send instructions to us, such as through DBS digibank or a direct call with your Relationship Manager.
If you have not registered the email address(es) of yourself and/or authorised persons, you may do so via DBS digibank or visit any of our POSB/DBS branches for an immediate update, or contact your Relationship Manager. We may not accept instructions via email before the update is completed.
If you wish to opt out of providing instructions to us via email in future, you may do so by informing your Relationship Manager in writing at any time.
By sending us your instructions via email, you acknowledge that you are aware of the risks involved in the use of email, electronic platform, electronic communication or similar means of non-electronic and electronic communication, which may include errors in transmission, technical defect, oversight, power or system failure, fraud, forgery, misunderstanding, theft or loss of mobile or other devices, unintended disclosure or unauthorised interception or manipulation by third parties. By sending us such instructions, you will be deemed to authorise us to accept your instructions transmitted via email in accordance with the provisions of the Private Banking and Investment Services Agreement (including the Terms and Conditions) and agree to bear all such risks.
Without prejudice to any other provision in the Private Banking and Investment Services Agreement, you undertake to hold us harmless and indemnify us and keep us indemnified against all losses, howsoever arising out of or in connection with us acting in accordance with any instructions transmitted via email.
Prior to acting on any instruction transmitted via email, you acknowledge that any instruction shall not be deemed received by us until we confirm receipt of your instruction transmitted to us via email and/or we may require you to confirm any such instruction. You agree to accept the risks associated with the time lag between such instruction being sent and actually received and confirmed by us. If your instruction is time sensitive, please provide such instruction through the online banking channels made available to you or contact your Relationship Manager directly.

For investment-linked policy, the value of units in the underlying fund and the income accruing to the unit, if any, may rise or fall. You may get back substantially less than your original investment if the market values of your selected funds fall. If the policy is sent by post, it shall be deemed to have been delivered within 7 days after posting.
These policies are protected under the Policy Owners' Protection Scheme which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). Coverage for your policy is automatic and no further action is required from you.
