How to Receive Funds from Others
There are various ways which you may Receive Funds from Others to your DBS/POSB accounts.
- Register for PayNow and receive funds from others by sharing your registered mobile number, or your NRIC/FIN number. Learn more on How to Apply for Paynow.
Receive funds by sharing your bank account details
- You may also receive funds from others by sharing your bank account details. Check out the relevant information to share with your sender for DBS/POSB accounts below:
For DBS Accounts (10-digit account number)
- Your Name as per bank’s records:
- Account Number: Learn more on How to find your Account Number
- Bank Code: 7171
- Branch Code: First 3 digits of your account number (e.g. Account no. 123-4-567890 → Branch Code: 123)
- Branch Name: DBS Bank Ltd. (You do not need to indicate your Branch Name as it is no longer a requirement)
For POSB Accounts (9-digit account number)
- Your Name as per bank’s records:
- Account Number: Learn more on How to find your Account Number
- Bank Code: 7171
- Branch Code: 081 (All POSB accounts have a standard branch code of 081)
- Branch Name: POSB Bank Ltd. (You do not need to indicate your Branch Name as it is no longer a requirement)
- To receive funds from an overseas sender, they will likely perform a Telegraphic Transfer from their overseas bank to you. Simply provide them with the following details:

You may receive these 13 currencies in your multi-currency account:

- Euro (EUR)
- Hong Kong Dollar (HKD)
- Japanese Yen (JPY)

Should you wish to receive funds in these supported foreign currencies, your sender needs to instruct their bank to send out the funds in the foreign currency (not SGD).
Note: If the above 12 foreign currencies are deposited into a non-multi-currency account, the incoming funds will be automatically converted to SGD. For any other foreign currencies received into a multi-currency account, the incoming funds will be automatically converted and credited in SGD.
- To receive foreign currency (non-SGD) funds from another bank in Singapore, your sender will need to send it via Telegraphic Transfer from the other bank in Singapore. Simply provide them with the following details:
