Why is Flu Vaccination important?</strong>
Influenza is a respiratory illness which is highly contagious. It is a potentially serious condition because the infection, at times, can lead to complications and even death. Vaccination can significantly lower the risk from getting sick with the flu!

<strong> What are the Government’s Subsidies for Nationally Recommended Vaccination?</strong>
Vaccinations provide personal protection against important vaccine-preventable infectious diseases and help achieve herd immunity in the population. To improve the affordability and accessibility of these services, the Government is providing subsidies for nationally recommended vaccinations.

<strong> *Eligibility Criteria:
A. Singaporean Children: 
<ul> 
<li> Children aged 6 months to under 5 years (i.e. 6 to 59 months); or </li></strong>
<li> Children and adolescents aged 5 to 17 years who are receiving long-term aspirin therapy and therefore might be at risk for developing Reye syndrome after influenza infection[1]; or </li>
<li> Children who have chronic pulmonary[2] or cardiovascular[3] disorders; or or </li>
<li> Children who have required regular medical follow-up or hospitalisation due to chronic metabolic diseases[4], renal[5], neurologic[6], hepatic[7], or haematologic[8] disorders; or </li>
<li> Children with immunosuppression[9]; or </li></ul>

<strong>
B. Singaporean Adults who are Pioneer Generation (PG) or Merdeka Generation (MG) or CHAS Blue/Orange Cardholders; <u>AND</u></strong> are:

<li> Adults aged 65 years or older; or </li>
<li> Women at all stages of pregnancy (aged 18 to 64 years); or </li></strong>
</ul>

<u> Aged 18-64 years: </u>
<ul>

<li> Kawasaki disease or other condition for which a person is on <strong>long-term aspirin or salicylate therapy</strong>.</li>
<li> <strong>Chronic pulmonary disorders</strong>. Examples include: asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (e.g. chronic bronchitis, emphysema), bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, pneumoconiosis, bronchopulmonary dysplasia..</li>
<li> <strong>Chronic cardiovascular disorders.</strong> Examples include: ischemic heart disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathy. Does not include hypertension. </li>
<li> <strong>Chronic metabolic diseases.</strong> Examples include: diabetes mellitus, inherited metabolic disorder, mitochondrial disorders. Does not include: lipid disorders, pre-diabetes (e.g. impaired glucose tolerance, impaired fasting glucose).</li>
<li> <strong>Chronic renal disease</strong>. Examples include: chronic kidney disease, end-stage renal failure, nephrotic syndrome.</li>
<li> <strong>Chronic neurologic disease</strong>. Examples include: stroke, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, motor neuron disease, intellectual disability, spinal cord injury. Does not include: major depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety.</li>
<li> <strong>Chronic hepatic disorders</strong>. Examples include: chronic hepatitis, liver cirrhosis, biliary atresia.</li>
<li> <strong>Chronic haematologic disorders</strong>. Examples include: sickle cell disease, thalassemia major, leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, multiple myeloma.</li>
<li> <strong>Immunosuppression</strong>. Examples include: congenital or acquired immunodeficiencies, HIV infection, generalised malignancy, iatrogenic immunosuppression (e.g. radiation therapy, biologics or drugs such as chronic use of corticosteroid that suppresses the immune system), solid organ transplant. </li>

<strong> Terms and Conditions:</strong>

<li> By redeeming the voucher, you are deemed to have consented to Alliance Healthcare PL or/and its panel clinics verifying your identification details, CHAS status and claiming the relevant subsidies from the Government for the vaccine given. </li>
<li> For individuals who fulfill the <strong>*Eligibility Criteria</strong> and are <strong>CHAS Green/Non-CHAS Cardholders</strong>, a charge of <strong>S$8.00 nett</strong> per vaccination is required to be paid to the clinic. </li>
<li> For individuals who do not fulfill the <strong>*Eligibility Criteria</strong>, a charge of <strong>S$35.00</strong> (excluding GST) per vaccination is required to be paid to the clinic. </li>
<li> When you enjoy subsidies under the scheme, your personal data may be collected and shared with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and its authorised parties (which include polyclinics, their affiliates including but not limited to hospitals, clinics, institutions, healthcare practitioners and other related entities, and other parties appointed by MOH) to (i) process, verify and audit your subsidy claims; (ii) contact you, if necessary, to verify claims/visits details; and (iii) review and improve the scheme. However, if you wish to withdraw your consent to the sharing and use of your personal data, please inform the clinic staff. By doing so, you can still be treated at the clinic, but you will not be eligible for the subsidies and a charge of <strong>S$35.00</strong> (excluding GST) per vaccination is required to be paid to the clinic. </li>
<li> The voucher is valid while stock lasts and must be redeemed within 3 months from the purchase date. </li>
<li>The terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice. </li>
