Storyline
The bulls and the bears are rivalries since the rise of the tribes. Ever since the start, they would have a yearly bodybuilding contest to determine which tribe would have the bragging rights for the rest of the year.
This year, they have agreed on a Push-of-War contest to showcase their own tribe's strength (or muscle.) Thus, the contest begins.
Characters
There are two tribes, Bears and Bulls.
Each tribe has three characters, which are light, medium , heavy class respectively.
Art Style
We aimed to make all assets showcase the feel of puppet made out of cardboard, which is more comical when animated and give a cartoony look.
Moves / Animation
All game characters and assets are animated to feel as if someone's controlling them outside of the scene, so the game would feel like a puppet show instead.
Sound / Music
Sound effects were made to give each character a unique and distinctive sound. Main menu music was made to give a cheerful and happy ring. Background music was made to give a feeling of a steady start that builds up momentum to a cheerful upbeat song.
Game Mechanics
Each player would control one race, the Bulls or the Bears.
Each player is given a resource pool to send out units.
Resource regenerate over time.
Players can send out units to 1 of the 3 lanes. They will be able to conquer a lane if they've managed to reach the other's spawning area.
When a 1-1 tie happens, the Boss of each tribe will spawn on the remaining lane and fight with each other.
Players will have to press the correct button when it's shown on screen. If pressed correctly, their boss will gain extra power and push towards the other side. If pressed wrongly, a cooldown will be imposed on the player before they can continue.
Players will win the boss fight if they have pushed the other out of the lane or gone through the list of 25 button first.
Player will win if they've conquered 2 out of 3 lanes.
