Standing Instructions
Set Up Standing Instruction
This service allows you to set up a Standing Instruction to transfer money.
You can set up a Standing Instruction to make regular transfers to:
- Your own account
- Another DBS or POSB account*
- Another Bank's account.
For Standing Instructions to another DBS or POSB account or another Bank's account, the recipient account has to be designated first using One Time Password (OTP) before they will appear in the recipient's account dropdown list for selection.

Features
- Standing Instructions set up via iBanking only will be absolutely free.
- For Standing Instruction set up made before 1830 hr (Singapore time), it will appear in the "View Standing Instructions" service immediately.
- The earliest payment date is 3 calendar days after set-up to allow processing. (e.g., For Standing Instruction set up on Monday, the earliest first payment date will be on Thursday)
- If the date of first payment falls on a Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday, the system will default it to the next working day (Monday to Friday) and subsequent payment dates remain unchanged.
- Payment via Standing Instructions:
- To DBS or POSB Bank: Will be received by recipient within the same day of "First Payment Date" specified.
- To Other Banks: Will be received by recipient within 3 working days from "First Payment Date" specified.
- When you are setting up your Standing Instruction, the date of your last payment must be before the date of your first payment. For example, if your first payment is on the 10th Oct 2005, your last payment has to be before the 10th of any subsequent month (e.g., 9th Feb 2006).
- The setting up of Standing Instruction shares the funds transfer daily limit (e.g., if the 3rd party funds transfer daily limit is $5000 and you set up a Standing Instruction for $3000, the remaining limit for the day is $2000.
- The date of first payment cannot be more than 1 year from the day you are setting up your Standing Instruction.
- Setting up Standing Instruction service will not be available in the following timing (Singapore Time) due to daily for system maintenance. In the event that the service is unavailable, please try again later.
- Monday to Friday: 2000 hr to 2115 hr, 0000 hr to 0010 hr
- Saturday: 1950 hr to 2105 hr, 0000 hr to 0030 hr
- Sunday: 1900 hr to 1910 hr, 0000 hr to 0010 hr
Terminate Standing Instruction
This service allows you to terminate any Standing Instruction that you have previously set up. You can terminate a specific Standing Instruction by selecting the debiting account from the dropdown list.
Features
- For immediate Standing Instruction termination request submitted before 1830 hr (Singapore time), the change will be effected same day.
- For immediate Standing Instruction termination request submitted after 1830 hr (Singapore time), the change will be effected the same day if no payment is due the next day.
- For future termination, the earliest acceptable request should be made at least 2 days in advance if made after 1830hr (Singapore time).
- You can amend the "Effective Termination Date" from the original "Effective Termination Date" during Standing Instruction termination process.
- The future date of termination cannot be more than 30 days from today and Standing Instruction to POSB SAYE accounts cannot be terminated via iBanking.
View Standing Instructions
This service allows you to view Standing Instructions that you have made for your accounts.
You can view your Standing Instructions under your DBS and POSB accounts. Please note that only Standing Instruction payments via Interbank GIRO (direct credit into another account) will be shown. Standing Instruction payments using Cashier's Order, Demand Draft and Telegraphic Transfer will not be shown on this page.
