Open a Fixed Deposit
This service allows you to open a Fixed Deposit account. Fixed Deposits allow you to save a fixed amount for a fixed tenor at competitive interest rates.
Features
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be an existing DBS iBanking user with a personal or joint-alternate DBS/POSB Savings or Current Account
- You may not have more than 1 personal accounts of the same account type.
- Once the account is opened, the placement function will be made available to you.
- You will receive your monthly statement if there is any transaction(s) made for the month.
Place a Fixed Deposit
This service allows you to place a Fixed Deposit online by transferring funds to the account.
Features
- You can view online rates before confirming the placement.
- For Premier Income Account, the interest rate will be 0.10% above the posted interest rate, applicable only to SGD placements $10,000 & above with at least 6 months tenor.
- The minimum placement amount and period are:
- For SGD Fixed Deposit Accounts, the minimum amount is S$1,000.
- For Foreign Currency Fixed Deposit Accounts, the minimum amount is S$5,000 equivalent.
- The transfer will be effected immediately. You can see the latest balance of the "To" and "From" accounts on the screen after the transfer is made.
- A monthly Fixed Deposit statement will be mailed to you.
- The placement (including interest) will be automatically renewed under auto-rollover basis, unless you provide us with other written instructions.
Change Maturity Instructions for Fixed Deposit
This service allows you to change maturity instruction that you have previously set up for your Fixed Deposit account.
Features
- You can change your maturity instructions for your personal/joint-alternate Fixed Deposits which were placed using cash. This is excluding SRS, CPF Fixed Deposits, Structured Deposits and Currency-Linked Investments).
- You can change the Maturity Instruction at least 1 business day before the maturity date of the Fixed Deposit.
- You may choose from any one of the following Maturity Instructions:
- Rollover Principal + Interest
- Withdraw Principal + Interest
- Rollover Principal + Withdraw Interest
- Your request will be processed instantly.
