Personal or Joint-Alternate Account

This service allows you to perform an online closure of your DBS/POSB deposit account. This feature allows existing customers with Personal or Joint-Alternate Account to close their accounts online.

Features

• This service is only available from 7:00am to 10:00pm daily, and on the last working day of the month from 7:00am to 8:00pm.
• This service is not available if you are closing your last deposit account with nett balance above $0. For such, please transfer the full account balance to other bank before proceeding with account closure. You may do that online, or alternatively you can also close your account by mailing us the following filled form.
• Payment mode of Nett Balance: You can choose to transfer to another of your own DBS/POSB accounts (applicable only if you are not closing your last deposit account)
• The following accounts are not available for closure via this service. Please proceed to the nearest branch to close these accounts:
  • Joint-All Accounts
  • Trust Accounts
  • Child Development Account (CDA)
  • Trust-Minor Accounts
  • MYF Accounts
  • Corporate Accounts

Linked Facilities

• Upon closure of account(s), all facilities and services linked to the account to be closed will be terminated from the date of this request, including the following (where applicable):
  • ATM/ Debit card if the account to be closed is the only account which the card is linked to;
  • Savings Passbook (if applicable);
  • GIRO, Interbank Giro or Standing Instruction;
  • Cheques presented for clearing will be returned notwithstanding that it is dated prior to the date of closure; and/or
  • Overdraft (OD) Facility, POSB Current Account Giro Transfer Linkage, PayNow & PayLah.
