DBS UK Remit
This service allows you to transfer funds in GBP to a recipient of any bank located in UK. You can submit your application via iBanking anytime as the service is available 24 hours, from Monday to Sunday. However, transactions submitted on a public holiday either in Singapore or in UK will be credited to the recipients account on the next business day.
Features
- Sending funds to banks in UK is as simple as local funds transfer. All you need are the bank details of your recipient - sort code and the bank account number.
- Service fee of S$5 is applicable for each transfer (unless it has been waived by the bank).
- If your application is received before 1700 hr from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), your application will be processed on the same day. Otherwise, your application will be processed on the next working day.
- The daily overseas transfer limit of all overseas funds transfers is S$200,000 per day. Please note that this limit is the total for all your Overseas Funds Transfers in a single day (excluding sending money to Overseas Visa Card or MasterCard).
- With this service, you can transfer funds in GBP at competitive rates. However, if you wish to transfer funds in other currencies to UK e.g.USD, please use our Overseas Funds Transfer service ( Transfer > To an overseas Account > To Overseas Accounts).
- You may choose to transfer funds from the list of your personal or joint-alternate Singapore Dollar Savings, Current and Multi-Currency accounts to debit funds for DBS UK Remit. You will receive a debit advice from the bank through normal mail at your account address after the transaction has been processed.
- Please ensure accurate beneficiary information and sufficient funds for the processing of the DBS UK Remit application. In the event of missing information and/or insufficient funds in your debiting account to pay for the transaction, DBS Bank reserves the right to reject the application.
- To cancel or amend an application, you may submit a request to if the transaction has not been completed. Please do verify all the details before submission as in most cases; the transaction is completed within 3-5 minutes. The cancellation is on best effort basis. - If the transfer has been made, it is subject to the agreement by the recipient bank. Please visit any DBS or POSB branch if you wish to cancel or amend the application.
- A cancellation fee of $15 or amendment fee of $10 will be charged.
- To check whether the recipient bank has received the funds, you can send a query to the agent bank to check. Please visit any DBS or POSB branch for this service. A fee of $20 and agent charges will be charged.
View DBS UK Remit Transaction
This service allows you to view transfers you have made to UK in the past 90 days.
Types of Status
- In order to better understand the different statuses of your transactions, please refer to the following to find out more:
- Submitted: Your transaction has been submitted for processing. We will be validating the contents shortly.
- Processing: Your transaction has been received in good order. We will be processing your transaction shortly based on the time of submission. Transactions submitted between 0830 hr and 1400 hr on a business day will be processed within the same day. Transactions outside these timings will typically be processed on the next business day.
- Completed: Your transaction has been completed and the funds have been sent to the recipient's bank account.
- Rejected: Your transaction could not be processed. Please call our customer service hotline at 1800 111 1111 (from Singapore) or (65) 6327 2265 (from overseas) to find out more about this.
- Unknown: Your transaction could not be processed due to a technical error. Please call our customer service hotline at 1800 111 1111 (from Singapore) or (65) 6327 2265 (from overseas) to find out more about this.
